Mr. Jewell has more than 30 years of experience in transportation and logistics where he has developed a broad expertise in mergers, acquisitions, operations, sales, marketing, safety, and legal. He currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Board for DrayNow, a venture capital backed technology platform company for the intermodal industry. He also serves on the Board of Allstates World Cargo, a domestic freight forwarder and portfolio company of Clarendon Capital. Additionally, Mr. Jewell serves on the Board of Highway Transport, a specialty chemical hauler, and the Board of Guardian Logistics, a multi-service transportation and logistics provider and portfolio company of Canopy Capital. Previously, Mr. Jewell served on the board of Custom Goods, a Soundcore portfolio company, until Soundcore’s successful exit of this business in 2023.

Prior to his recent board experience, Mr. Jewell spent 18 years at Forward Air Corporation (Nasdaq: FWRD). During his tenure, he was instrumental in growing Forward Air from a $200 million niche, single mode provider to a single-source, multi-mode transportation service provider with annual revenues in excess of $1.6 billion. At Forward Air, he spearheaded a series of high-impact initiatives, including an enterprise-wide restructuring of the sales team, the implementation of a new CRM system to drive organic growth, and the execution of an M&A strategy that expanded market share and geographic reach. Under his leadership, the company experienced substantial revenue expansion, including growing the Final Mile service from $35 million to over $200 million, and scaling intermodal operations from a zero revenue base to over $200 million through strategic acquisitions and greenfield startups.

During his career with Forward Air, Mr. Jewell served as Chief Commercial Officer, President of Intermodal, President of Logistics Services, Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Legal Officer, Senior Vice President and General Counsel, and Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Landair Corporation (a former affiliate of Forward Air).

Prior to his career at Forward Air, Mr. Jewell was a partner in an Atlanta law firm where his practice specialized in providing legal counsel to many of North America’s leading transportation and logistics companies.

Mr. Jewell has degrees from Emory University and Emory University School of Law. He currently serves on Oxford College of Emory University’s Board of Counselors and Emory University School of Law Board of Advisors.
